Our partners, the Sid Valley Biodiversity Group are putting plans together for a celebration and exploration of nature over the first weekend of June.
On Friday 6 June, there will be a chance to see some of the life offshore with a talk by free swimming photographer Carol Harper.
On Saturday 7 June there will be a family day in The Byes with many local groups coming together to provide a range of activities including nature walks, storytelling, singing, art activities using natural materials, and many more. In the weeks before the event, there will be a Nature Photo Competition.
The biodiversity group want to see your photos of local nature, flowers, insects, birds, meadows, trees, rock pools, views; anything that you think illustrates our wonderful local nature. There will be two competitions, under 16 and16 and over with prizes of £50 Book Tokens for the winners.
